What BJP-RSS are trying to achieve by CAB and NRC

If you still think that government institutions in India are run by constitution and not by the agenda of RSS then you are living in dark. From the apex court to the lowest strata of government bodies, all are hijacked by the fascists. The way in which evey authority is dancing on the beat of Hindutva is enough proof. Same is the implementation of NRC and passing of "Citizenship Amendment Bill" in the both houses of Indian parliament. From Media to the government agencies, everyone is trying to justify these dictatorial decisions of the regime. On other hand people are on the roads throughout the country. From Delhi to Tripura, Police is beating the peaceful protesters and media is labeling them as "intruders." Here any sensible citizen of this country is supposed to think that what is the final motive of this government behind this whole disturbing discourse. Are they doing it for majority appeasement and making their vote bank happy or do they have some long lasting plans. No doubt BJP came to power by making a lot of promises to its vote bank e.g. Hindu Upper and Upper middle class and giving citizenship to the Hindus of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan was one of the most awaited promise of BJP. There is nothing wrong in giving citizenship to the Hindus or anyone else from any corner of the world but blackmailing Indian Muslims on this whole issue is indeed very disturbing. I have a friend from south. His parents migrated there after 1969 Anti-Muslim riots in Gujarat. At that time they fled only with clothes on their bodies and nothing else. Now this family is Indian from centuries but they cannot prove it on papers so they'll definitely end in the concentration camp. Hindus who had left the Pakistan, Afghanistan or Bangladesh will get Indian citizenship without any proof but citizenship of a Muslim will be snatched only fue to his religion. This is the highest level of discrimination based upon religion and except "apartheid" none of the words explain it in better sense. The ultimate goal of this whole procedure is ensuring second class citizenship for the Muslims and implementation of the caste based Hindu lifestyle in India. This is the first and most important step towards the creation of a Hindu Rashtra. No doubt in upcoming stages SC, ST, Christians and everyone except upper caste Hindus will also get their place defined as manu-samriti. I see a lot of Indians peddling the narrative of India becoming a "Hindu Pakistan." There is something seriously wrong with this statement. Pakistan was always very clear about the place and role of religion in their affairs. Non-Muslims cannot be the PM and President there and this is why that country was created but citizenship based on religion was never there. Pakistan have five million Afghan refugees who recently got their citizenship and no-one was even concerned with this issue there. This is the difference of social structure in both countries. Indian majority (Bramhinists) had always wasted their entire energy to control the "others." That's why they are always trying to counter the Muslims, Christians, Communists, Leftists, Ambedkerits and many other people with different ideologies. CAB and NRC are the tools of the Hindutava government to push the Muslims towards absolute marginalization. Even if majority of the Muslims could manage to prove their citizenship, at the end Muslims from lowest strata will be the worst victims of this disaster. They are uneducated, poor people without any legal help, even if they have records, they cannot travel back to their villages (if they are working s'where else), take off from work and stand in long queues and starve to the death while proving their citizenship. These all people will end in the concentration camps. This is the functioning of a system based on

After the 30 years of Bhagalpur Riots

What happened on October 24, 1989 could be described as a riot, but what followed over the next month was nothing but an organised massacre of the Muslims. It's 30 years today when worst communal riot of independent India had started in Bhagalpur. 24 October 1989, around 1.30 pm to be precise. The procession of Ram Paduka pujan was to cross a Muslim area, a politician said to have arranged some local funds to throw crude bombs on the procession. And it all started. KS Dwiwedi,SP ordered shooting. The procession took other route. Killing of muslims living in pockets started. All prominent shops belonging to muslims in the main market were looted and set on fire. Well off people participated in looting & arson. By evening massive killing of muslims had already taken place in city wherever they are in small numbers. Nayabazar, Parbatti, Jogsar, Ishakchak, Khanjarpur and many. Majority of muslims families killed or they managed to flee.

The fire of riot spread to outskirts of Bhagalpur. In Chanderi gaon, near Sabour 96 muslims were butchered and dumped near a pond. In another village Logain hundreds killed and buried in field and small plants were planted above them. Two villages, Logain with around 118 dead and Chanderi with around 70 dead, received decent press coverage over the years, and with strong witnesses they would see prosecutions over a decade and more later. But the killings at Bhatoriya (85 dead), Rasalpur (30 dead), Padghari (27 dead), Chajghora (25 dead), and Silampur-Amanpur (77 dead), saw prosecutions and then bails, settled cases with killers roaming free, till date.

Many muslim areas were raised by police and intellectual class was arrested from home. Doctors, professors, engineers were arrested. Every individual who were affected had a story to tell. Some lost his brother in front of his eyes. Some saw his old mother being killed. The pain and anguish was unbearable. Feeling of complete disdain and despair.Police was combing muslim localities. Hindu youths calling them uncle taking them one house to other for conducting searches. The children & old were humiliated like anything. BSF came to city after 3-4 days of rioting.

Like maximum of the other deadliest anti-Muslim riots, Bhagalpur 1989 riots were also highly organized, backed by the government and Hindutva outfits. Congress governments at state and center played an important role in harbouring the rioters. Police and its senior officers were siding with Hindu mobs are they did nothing to stop them. Casualties were so.much high that even after the months of the riots, people kept finding the dead bodies from fields, canals and ponds. A few victics were compensationed and more few killers were punished.

Timeline of Anti Muslim Riots Since 1986

One of the most popular and normalized lie in mainstream media is that Muslims are enjoying equal rights and peaceful democracy in India. From the institutionalized marginalization to the ghettoising at massive scale, Muslim fall at the bottom in the Indian society. Violence against Muslims is very common, planned and supported by the governments. From the day one, government and politicians had turned Muslims into punching bag to pleas

•The brutality against Muslims is not something new in India. In this thread, I am documenting the large scale, targeted and repeated Anti-Muslim pogromsOpusOfAli in the Secular Democracy of India after 1986, inspired by the ideology of fascist RSS.

•In this year Congress, under pressure from RSS and its affiliates, opened Babri Masjid for Hindu prayers and rituals, and this event started a new phase of the massacre of Muslims. Under Atal and Advani, a movement of hatred was mainstreamed which continues till date.

•Later, Babri Masjid demolition was the ugly manifestation of islamophobic agenda already at work since long. The alienation and demonization of Muslims have long been the agenda of RSS and it’s leaders in India and it is only growing stronger.

•Muslims have become sacrificial lambs to please the majority. The rapes, murders, destruction of Muslims’ properties are usual during these massacres, most of the times assisted by the Armed Forces. Due to the huge number, I am covering only the major ones here.

Demonetisation Disaster : The Consequences Overviewed

Demonetisation was seen as a game changer decision of Modi regime by its supporters but from the very first day of its implementation, civilians, intellectuals and renowned economists have doubted the authenticity of this decision. Demonetisation was a long process which includes early informing of creamy layer, politicians and bureaucrats distributing money to their relatives and servants and poor people dying in the long bank queues. Government's pet media and public figures are not only defending but glorifying this decision from the first day. Middle class which is largest contributer to the vote bank of NDA government supported the government so strongly and blindly that cry of poor class submerged under its weight. But this whole new level of propaganda was not going to stop the consequences of this disasters decision. Right now in 2019 Indian economy is at ventilator and from top leadership of BJP to their pet Media and blind supporters (Bhakats) are solely responsible for it. At that they all were saying "Modi Ji ne kiya he to achhe k liye hi kiya hoga" but now they are not even ready to accept that this whole mess is created by the Modi Ji.
Today Modi supporters and every other person of India needs to acknowledge that Modi is a fame loving person who was never serious about this country or its economy. Even today amid intense economic crisis and slowdown Modi regime it trying to suppress the questions under Kashmir issue and discussing Pakistan over TV debates. One thing is certain, no matter how much we curse Pakistan or divert the attention of people from real issues, at the end of the day common people are going to suffer badly. These are same people who passionately voted for NDA 2.
From past examples we can assure that no matter how much downgraded economy is or how much unemployed people are, they are still going to vote for BJP because above mentioned reasons are no longer election or political topics in India. Majority of India is voting upon communal basis and they are thinking not politically, economically or socially but only religiously. They are trapped under religious extremism and supremacism which is being feeded to them since 1992. Every media house is sold out and they are doing everything except journalism. This attitude of the people will led the country to the bottom of prosperity.

Here arise a question that who is responsible for more than 160 deaths due to the demonetisation? Neither Modi nor any of his party member is ready to accept that it was failure. From the money laundering to the terror funding, everything is prospering like before. Vijay Malya and Nirav Modi set the next level examples of corruption and fraud under this government. So, I don't think that there is any need to further prove that how present government failed on economic and planing fronts. On other hand employees of automobile industry are losing jobs. This generation in unemployed public is going to boost the unrest in country. Unemployed people are going to snatch the jobes of other employed people and in this way, common people will suffer more. Our governments never thought about these kind of results of their decision and that's why India is 3rd most depressed country in the world.
Youth and change loving people must assure the prosperity of this country but this is not going to happen until present rulers are gone from the elected institutions. People should also vote for deserving and best candidate instead of voting on the basis of caste, religion or political agenda. Election of the best candidate on the basis of marit in only possible path to the secure future of this country.

Gujarat 2002 Riots - Causes and Consequences

Gujarat 2002 anti-Muslim riots was an event in the history of India which paved the way for its upcoming political and social journey. We should keep reminding to ourselves and the people around us about those horrific days. Here is a collection of some tweets by @AashiqKabeer which emphasises the whole procedure and consequences of 2002 riots :-

• Death toll - Upto 2000 deaths (E)
  Injured - Upwards of 2,500
  Missing - 223
  Displaced - 150,000
  Timeline - 3 months

• VHP calls for a state wide bandh against the direct order of SC who called these strikes illegal and unconstitutional.

Gujarat BJP president Rana Rajendrasinh along with Gujarat CM Narendra Modi had aided in inciting these riots by using inflammatory speeches post Godhra.

•Without any evidence, these two claimed that the Godhra train was burnt under direct order of the ISI and local Muslims had conspired along with them in  this attack.

• 28th February 2002

The attacks against Muslims initiated. These weren't fringe elements bullying Muslims. These attacks were meticulously planned and highly coordinated.

• The attackers arrived early morning into Muslim communities. They were wearing either saffron robes or khakhi shorts.

Equipped with swords and trishuls in one hand, they were in constant communication through mobile phones on their other hand.

• When the Muslims tried to alert the police on these attacks they were told;

"We have no orders to save you"

In some cases, police fired on Muslims who tried to defend themselves.

• The attacks weren't just on Muslim men. For the first time, the attack was also aimed at Muslim women and Muslim children.

"Sexual violence was used as a strategy for terrorizing Muslim women"
- HRW Women's Intl Experts (UK, France, USA, Germany)

• Up to 250 women were gang raped.

Children were force fed petrol and set on fire.

Pregnant women were gutted and had their unborn child's body shown to them.

Women were stripped naked, violated with objects and then killed.

• Acid was thrown at women after they were raped.

Pregnant women were kicked on their stomachs causing immediate miscarriage.

Babies were beheaded and had their heads pierced on a sword for display to the mothers.

• Out of the 96 bodies in the Naroda Patiya mass grave, 40 were women's.

"The rapes were organized and strategic. It was a pre-planned genocide"
- Kalpana Kannabiran (Sociologist & Lawyer)

• Excerpt from the Citizen's Tribunal.

"Women were forced into nudity, gang raped, foreign objects inserted into them, their breasts were cut and had their stomachs slit. After the rape, Hindu religious symbols were carved into the bodies of those women. Some women were stripped, paraded naked and gang raped before being cut into quarters and thrown into open flames and burnt beyond recognition. The leaders of the mobs raped young girls, some even as young as 11 years old. Even fetus in the womb of the mother wasn't spared"

• This violence was allowed to continue for 3 months under the Gujarat CM, Narendra Modi's rule before any form of federal intervention.

"Young boys were taught to rape, burn and kill in the name of Hindutva"
- Vandana Shiva (Social activist)

• According to author, Scott W Hibbard, the violence was well organized and members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and RSS had taken active part in the violence and rapes.

Muslim businesses and properties were selectively targeted and burnt down.

• The Citizen's Tribunal report includes a testimony from a Gujarat BJP minister, Haren Pandya who said

"Narendra Modi had convened a meeting on the evening of the train burning. At this meeting, officials were instructed not to intervene in the Hindu rage following this incident"

• The report also said that state ministers Ashok Bhatt and Prabhatsinh Chauhan along with other BJP & RSS members attended a meeting where detailed plans were made on the use of kerosene and petrol for arson and other killing methods.

• Babu Bajrangi, then leader of Gujarat's Bajrang Dal had said that he took great pride in the murder of Muslims and the rape of women and killing of infants.
He saw it as a part of the great Hindu war against Muslims which he says will always continue until every Muslim is dead.

• US Congressmen John Conyers and Joe Pitts said

"The Narendra Modi government had promoted attitudes of racial supremacy, racial hatred and the legacy of Nazism through his government's support of school textbooks in which Nazism is glorified".

• "Several days before the Godhra incident, Hindu homes and business in Muslim areas were marked with pictures of Hindu entities or saffron flags".

- Krishna Iyer (Supreme Court Justice, retd.)

• Modi went on to win the state elections after these riots and with the recent release of Babu Bajrangi and the proximity of the Lok Sabha elections, one can only be concerned about what the Narendra Modi government has in plan for India.

Why mob lynching is immune to the constitution

Recent killing of Tabrez Ansari was the 18th case of mob lynching in Jharkhand alone. Except few states of north-east and south almost everywhere the horror of mob lynching is same. Everyday we get the news of the extremist mob killing the people from minority communities. This series of continuous violence against marginalized communities (specially Muslims) was started after the arrival of NDA government at center. Gujarat model which includes the state sponsored violence against minorities was brought to the centre for its nationwide implementation. Initially when this cycle of violence started, many people come up with high level of resistance but from that days to this day, the violence against Muslims is at rise and its being normalized and institutionalized.                    Many people asks for the reason behind mob lynching. I think that if you are breathing in the air of India then you can easily find out the reason. The rise of RSS to the power was based upon the hatred against Muslims and nothing else. Neither development manifesto nor the corruption of congress was responsible for the victory of Narendra Modi. His involvement in 2002 riots was sole reason why majority of the Hindus give him massive mandate. From long ago BJP-RSS leaders are spreading venom against Muslims and now they got their aim when common Hindus also started hating the Muslims. Maximum TV anchor keep throwing propaganda against Muslims and increase their TRP. On other hand trolls over social media keep promoting the violence against Muslims. Throughout the Indian social media, you can easily find the right wing supporters calling for the exodus or the genocide of the Muslims. Apart from anonymous trolls, many are followed by the senior leadership of BJP and few are followed by the Narenda Modi himself. From the parliament to the streets of this country, BJP leaders and their sympathisers keep bashing Muslims. So after this whole high level hierarchy of the propaganda against Muslims, if Muslims are getting killed by the random mobs of the Hindus then nothing unpredictable is happening. Culprits of mob lynching are going unpunished because ruling government have great sympathy and soft corner for the killers. They don't want to lose Hindu vote bank by punishing the killers who killed the people of another faith for the sake of Hindutava. All institutions are filled with the members of RSS and they let go these people unpunished.                 Another important aspect is that extremists who kill Muslims in mob lynching are glorified in their community. They are sharing stages with ruling party leadership and are being presented as heros. This mindset of cult following is most dangerous aspect in this whole scenario. In the cases of mob lynching local police officials, administration, judiciary, media and government officials are on the side of culprits and not on the side of victim. So how can we expect from them to stop the killings and punish the culprits.                                    By the continuous massive propaganda, RSS got success in dehumanizing the Muslims. Common Hindus don't consider the Muslims as equal to them anymore. They have started thinking of the Muslims who are totally different from them. Who ate different food, have different interests and are not fit in the frame of nationalism. These all trends are leading India towards a bigger genocide then the Holocaust of the Jews. This had happened in Germany and Srebrenica, in our own country this had happened in 1984 and 1992, so this can also happen once again.

18. Doctors be advised to prescribe generic medicines to the patients so that they don't spend unnecessary savings for branded medicines. The list of the generic stores is available on many websites.
19. In case of disasters faced by humanity, case in point is Surat tragedy, the local Muslims can support the victims in whichever way possible. We don't have to teach anyone anything about religion, we have to show case the good virtues taught to us by our ancestors.
20. Your kurta, pajama, dadhi, topi is your uniform. If you spit in open, smoke, urinate, use abusive words, stalk, a by stander near you is not going to observe that some zahir, ismael, imtiaz, etc was uneducated.. They judge you as Muslims, and nothing wrong on their part, as that is what uniform conveys, the ideals of community. So be doubly conscious.
21. Adopt atleast two families, who in turn adopt other two, if not financially, atleast guide them educationally.
Conclusion: Self retrospect and trying to achieve the level of Momin is the solution. It doesn't mean going to jungle with tasbeeh and forget the world. It is like everyone, poor and rich, educated and uneducated, ulema and non-ulema, women and men etc. has to try this.Sachar committee addressed only socio economic situation, people are making us fool saying it has solution 4 all issues that we are facing today. It is infact making ummah hopeless from the mercy of Allah SWT. We Muslims should seek solutions in Quran and the life of Prophet .

Something About Education

During my three years in university, I came across a variety of teachers and students. I learnt many things during these three years but at the same time I noticed many more facts about teachers and students. Maximum of the students goes through a total change in their behavior, attitude and thought process, sensitive age and dynamic atmosphere are the main factors responsible for the change in the personality of the students. An important role is also played by friends, class and hostel mates, teachers and other people around. In both positive and negative ways youth got influenced by the atmosphere.                                                                                                              Not all, but few teachers highly affect the view point and thought process of the students. While observing this factor, for the first time I realizes that why governments install their ideological supporter teachers, professors, chancellors and vice chancellors in the educational institutions. After 15 July, 2016 coup in Turkey, government fired thousands of the professors from universities because they were know for anti government view point. In the concern of our surroundings, here is an adverse effect. Our country, societies and educational institutions are not education oriented. We spent a tiny percentage of our GDP on the education and research, same is the case with our domestic income. Nor government neither people are ready to spent on education.
Do anyone accept or not but maximum students in our country are studying for a job and future security. Because healthcare, education and other basic facilities are expensive in our country so we cannot blame students and families but this trend has made our education system only more stressful and full of the cut-throat competition. There are few government institutions who are providing good facilities so people become prone to approach the private sector, this is where whole mess begins. Government needs to  generate more employment opportunities for the youth as per their skills, providing adequate employment is the only solution of this problem.
China is the great example for us who provided education and employment to their massive population and  now they are enjoying the edge over rest of the world in all fields. In their case this all become possible only with planing and dedicated leadership. India have a great potential in service sector, manufacturing and IT. We need some more organised and sincere efforts. India have a large market and work force but less entrepreneurs, this is the result of unproductive education system.
So whenever we see a student failing, we must keep in the mind that he/she might be a sufferer of the system and atmosphere. In Israel there is a common trend in all business schools and universities, all students are provided with 1000$ and they have to earn 10,000 $ from that amount in certain period, unless they don't fulfill this criteria and are not given their MBA degree. This is the best example of practical implementation of bookish education. We need this kind of serious efforts in our country.

An American soldier and his wife's journey to the Islam - A beautiful story

"Everything seems to be governed by the Lord of the Universe" is the conclusion that Chris Tarantino reached when deciding to accept Islam. "How could I not?", the man born in Kissimmee, Florida, did not take the slightest to pledge the creed. It all started with war. Yes, war. Chris enlisted with the US Army in 1998, three years before the September 11 attacks in New York and Washington DC. He was deployed to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq. American soldiers fighting in Muslim countries often face negative perceptions that they are enemies of Islam and Muslims. But Chris said he never had positive or negative feelings about Muslims, even when heading to Iraq. "All I knew was we were going to combat terrorism. As a soldier, I just did what I was told. They say ignorance is bliss. I guess I was ignorant." he said. Chris’s assignment to Iraq in 2006 was going to be the first step in his journey towards Islam, even though he did not realize it. His wife, Cristina Tarantino, who at the time was in Mannheim, Germany. She was so worried about her husband that she began to reflect about life and death. "I was really, really scared something was going to happen to him," she said. She started to wonder what really happens to us after death, and what is the best way to live life in this world. Cristina had an older sister who had converted to Islam after marrying a Palestinian man. She started spending time with her and asking questions about life and death in Islam. What she was hearing from her sister made sense to her and gave her some serenity. This was the start of a spiritual journey that she shared with her husband during frequent phone calls while he was stationed at Camp Taji in Iraq. Chris could not hide his surprise when his wife said she had accepted Islam: "I was kind of shocked when I heard her say it: "I’ve accepted Islam",", he said. The first question he asked her was whether she had started wearing Hijab. At that time, Cristina said she was not ready for that yet. Chris didn’t ask his wife a lot of questions but instead "I asked for guidance in my prayers." he said. A few years later, when he was reassigned to Iraq in 2010, Chris had finally become a Muslim. He decided not to hide it. “I saw it wasn’t the end of the world to say I was a Muslim,” he said. Over time, the couple became increasingly religious. They often visit a Masjid in Mannheim/Germany. Soldiers who convert to Islam face a double dilemma: at work they face perceptions that Muslims are hostile to the military they serve, and at the Masjid they face perceptions that they are ennemies of Islam. "I follow the teachings of the prophet Muhammad. What the prophet Muhammad teaches does not condone that," Chris said. "I don’t associate myself with radicalism whatsoever." But his situation is unusual: He is the only US soldier at the Omar Al-Faruq Masjid in Mannheim, part of a small minority of Muslims in the military and an even smaller minority of Muslim soldiers who are not from a traditionally Muslim family or African-American. Although Chris and his wife’s decision to embrace Islam is personal, not political, his views on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and war in general, have changed. "As Muslims, we believe that if you kill one innocent person, it’s as if you’ve killed the entire world. But if you save one person, you save the entire world," said Chris. "I want to be on the side that’s helping." The couple helped form a nonprofit group to send food and medical supplies to Somalia. Cristina is one of seven people in their Masjid who formed the "Islamischer Humanitaerer Entwicklungsdienst" group or the Islamic Humanitarian Development Service (www.IHED.de) In just a few weeks, this charity has collected and sent 135 tons of food and medicine. All assistance is collected, arranged, and carried out during Ramadan. At home, the Tarantino family, who lives in the American military base in Mannheim, continues to study their new faith and try to practice it as much as possible. When leaving home, Cristina wears long sleeves, a long skirt and a hijab. Many people give her strange looks. "I feel like an astronaut," she said. "I tell my husband: "They probably think you brought me from Iraq"." But her husband has never had a problem interacting. Soldiers in his unit know he is a Muslim. Chris can take time to pray. "I'd stop for prayer. I’d talk to them about Islam because it’s my chance to do a good deed," he said. "At first, they were: "What?" "You are?" "Really?", " he said. After, they’d say, "Sgt. Tarantino, it’s prayer time." "They were respectful," he said. One of the hardest things about their conversion had to do with their two young sons. "We were like: "What do we tell the kids?", " Cristina said. "So, gradually there was no tooth fairy, no Santa Claus. … They took it very well."

He Knew...(Short story)

agamwalia97@gmail.com
 He knew...

Quarter past 2 in the night, A small boy rushed into the hospital with tears flowing down his eyes, just behind him were 2 guys in whites hurriedly pushing an old man, the man known to be the biggest gold merchant in town,Amar Raj, on a stretcher into the emergency room. The word spread soon that another patient had checked in the hospital and also that he might kick the bucket.

Dr. Puri was given the case and he didn’t waste a second and started running tests thinking at the back of his mind that this atleast an eighty year old soul might not make it.

"Get him into the ICU" he shouted. He used the flashlight only to find out that the old man's pupils are dialated.
"Do you not hear me? He needs oxygen, quick." It was more of a shriek this time.

The high dose of a blood thinner and an adrenaline shot was injected with a hope of a miracle from the deity.

"Here are the test reports doctors" said Pramod, the attendant.
The attendant could see the tense and rather alarmed look on the doctor's face but couldn't help but notice his glowing bald forehead under the hospital lights.

The doctor looked at barely breathing old man "But...how?" he questioned to no one but himself.

The reports seemed okay but the man lying there didn't. The small boy with dark circles bigger than his eyes gasping for breath pulled Dr. Puri's coat and could only say the words "baabuji... Baa..baabuji.. "

The doctor calmed the little boy down with a curiosity emerged inside him to find out what led this man with a perfectly alright frame to such a state, as they both waited for the rest of the test reports.

He gave him juice and the little guy soon got lost into the tangy flavor of it.

The little guy told the doctor that his name is Chotu and as far as he could remember he had little glimpses of his family and the miseries they lived in but after that the old man is all he knows. Reports came, everything was normal except the situation Dr. Puri had found himself in.

Questioning 28 years of his doctorate experience he scratched his head only to realize he has no hair which only magnified the misery. He tried to determine what might have happened with this man of unfathomable fortune. The little guy came to his rescue.

He told the doctor that this man lives in his home with a housekeeper and himself. They shifted here from the big mansion some time back He has two sons, both of them the lightweight has never met but has seen pictures of them. They call once in a blue moon and his Baabuji refuses to talk to them .Kashi, the elder son brought him here to take care of the old man.

From the time chotu came the old man was top-notch up until sometime before. He was in love with eating, playing cards and ludo, he is very competitive, he never gives up, and metallic pens that one has to keep dipping in ink in order to write and other conventional ways to keep an old man busy. From the past few months he used to spend most of his time in his den isolating himself from everyone even this young lad.

“There is something more to it’’ he claimed with certainty. He made an effort to dig up the times gone by in the old chap’s life. Feeling paralyzed, he would do anything to aid the gray beard.

The doctor came to know that he had stopped talking and would merely eat that too when this two-bit ,the new man of the made it mandatory that the old man would only be left alone if and only if ate his food.

Prateek Sehajpal ,a good old loyal friend scampering through to Dr Puri’s cabin, convulsively breathing ,“How are things?’’ he asked.

Without a pause he shouted “Those…Those Kashi and Anoop and their actions are the root cause behind this condition of his. He worked all his life to bestow them with everything they wished for. The only time they would bear the trouble of calling their Bauji is when they stand in need of his wealth.” He stood there with a frowl on his face.

“What could have possibly gone wrong?” the doctor just stood there ever so confused.
“I might know a man who can answer to queries” replied Mr. Sehajpal with signs of agony in his voice. Both of them tried to get in touch with Tanmay Mehta, the advocate to this old man. He was not in town hence the only feasible way to know the truth is through a phone call.

“Hello, Mr. Mehta? Mr, Sehajpal here” he did not hang around for the advocate to answer.

“Mr. Amar Raj is in the hospital, he doesn’t have much time and the doctor wants to know if you noticed anything unusual with him?” he asked without a pause.

“Yes!”  he replied hastily overlapping the question with his answer.
“and I am not his advocate anymore, he relinquished me from the job just after he sold every single one of his assets, his property, his investments, his stocks, his bonds, except his old ancestral mud house where he wanted to move after its restoration and his stack of books. He insisted on his need of a hearth even though the winters were no way near and he just wouldn’t take no for an answer He kept saying that his sons thought he didn’t know.

He knew….all this time he knew”.

Dr. Puri in a conversation with himself says “The tests and reports suggested that he was absolutely fine physically but in his head he had already given up. He seemed to have no motive to live anymore; his mind is trying to convince his heart that its time…. time that it should stop beating.
Winning this time for him would mean losing everything The man who never gives up, this time gave up without fighting”.

They kept monitoring him, trying everything that could have been possible but you cannot save someone who doesn’t want to be saved.

The long beep and the silence afterwards was deafening resulted in perfect silence at the most imperfect situations of them all.

He……..is no more.

He won the battle….of losing his meaningless life. The old man has departed this stage of existence and has gone to a better place, a place of eternal peace.

To the young wit it came as a massive shock whereas Dr. Puri and Mr. Sehajpal were filled with remorse, they felt as if it was their flaw. The last rights were performed by the clueless, blank and at present numb little chotu. Kashi and Anoop couldn’t make it.
It took the traumatized chotu weeks to actually get a hold of what had happened.

The little kid who knew nothing of the outside world was struggling just to survive. Soon the word spread, the old man had sold everything and that meant his kids were getting nothing in inheritance. Except the little kid who just wouldn’t stop crying  got 8 huge books which everyone guessed were written by the old man himself.

Eight years passed….

Chotu was struggling to keep himself just alive. He lived in the periphery of the city where He worked as a day laborer, a tea vendor, a barber and anything that didn’t make him question his morals. Kaashi and Anoop went back to their lives which no one knew nothing about after finding out that the old man has sold the entirety and they are getting only his blessings.

“Anyone home?” shouted advocate Tanmay Mehta standing outside chotu’s room with stained curtains and no door.

Recognizing the voice and with an aching heart getting flashbacks of the time he had spent with Baabu ji, He came running outside.

After having a glass of water and a thorough look at his room the man in the black coat asked “I am sorry for whatever happened but you went missing after Bau ji’s death. We tried to locate you.”

With his eyes a bit misty and not thinking about his current state for even a second, he only had Baabu ji and the everlasting memories in his mind.

“The police and the court were not able to trace where Bau Ji’s inheritance went. The only thing he left behind was his legacy, his name for his children to use and the books he gave you.

We thought if you can tell us what is written in it we might get a link or just a hint!”

With a little smile he said “ha-ha! I wish I could read, I still have those with me only because it once belonged to Baabu Ji, but you can have a look if you find anything. Who am I to stop you?”

“These books are extremely heavy ” said Mr. Mehta in a failed attempt to carry two of those books at once.

They read ‘They thought I didn’t know’, ‘I knew’ with ‘God bless Chotu’ in between at times in the whole of eight books on every single page.

Chotu was in tears. He didn’t even try to contain his emotions this time.
Disappointed “Everyone knows except his own sons that he knew what they were after” said the one who knew more than just how to read.

Chotu kept two of the books on the wooden shelf above his head to make room and the nail came out…slamming the books and the wooden plank onto the floor.

“Something isn’t right” said Mr. Mehta to himself as he heard a different sound, unlike what it would be like when a book slammed on the floor, leaving as fast as his legs could carry.

Few hours later…

He came back with the cops, court officials, and a man who appeared to be one of the elites. Dr. Puri got there too at almost the same time.
“I guess, Mr. Mehta isn’t the guy I thought he was”  Chotu murmured to himself thinking that the cops are after him courtesy of the fact that Mr. Mehta might have found something in those books and didn’t tell him.

The cops quickly got a hold Chotu and the books in the presence of court officials were handed over to a guy who seemed to be a man of substance and he started to tear the pages apart that very instant.

Chotu couldn’t help his emotions and trashed everyone there particularly the one who shred last relic of his Baabu Ji to pieces. He was exhausted from the crying and screaming in an effort to stop it from happening to the point where he turned motionless and where the cops became the only reason of him standing on his own two feet.

Dr. Puri helped him regain his composure as the man unknown tossed a few pages in a pan and lit a flame underneath. He seemed critical in leaving no trace behind of the departed soul. The paper instantly caught fire left not only ash but some liquid substance behind.

They allowed it to cool down and settle.

On an attempt to find out what it could have been everyone just stood there without budging an inch, their attention steadily fixed at what the man were to say.

“Pure gold..Purest that exists” the man said in disbelief.

The time stood still

The doctor tried to put the situation into words and put Chotu out of his misery.
“Mr. Amar Raj knew it indeed” said the doctor with his voice a bit heavy.

“Chotu this is Pargat Singh,a goldsmith. He worked for Bau Ji.”
“You emerged as his son when he needed it the most. Your Baabu Ji knew that his own blood would come after you if he had left everything to your name.

They would drag you to court and eventually play a fast one to take hold of everything. He turned every asset into gold and named it to the one who stood by him in health and in sickness knowing that his off springs wouldn’t care for some stupid books written by him”

It more or less explained the shifting to his ancestral house, the isolation, books, titanium pens and ink, the fire place in summer, and the sudden descent in his health.

“He did what he felt was right, he cared for you as much as you cared for him.”
Chotu was on his knees, moved, in tears…. and now the rightful owner of Amar Raj’s inheritance.
